ABOUT THE ARTIST

Linda Raskin lives and works in New York City. She has exhibited in the U.S. and abroad, with one-person shows at the Chrysler Museum, Norfolk, Virginia, the Fotograficentrum Gallery, Stockholm, Sweden, and the Southern Vermont Art Center, Manchester, Vermont, as well as numerous group shows. Her works are included in the permanent collections of the Bibliothèqué Nationale, Paris, France; the Museum of Fine Arts/Allan Chasanoff Collection, Houston, Texas; the Chrysler Museum, Norfolk, Virginia; the Toledo Museum of Art, Toledo, Ohio; and the Karin and Lars Hall Collection, Stockholm, Sweden; and are in numerous private collections. Raskin’s images illustrate several book jacket covers; they have been published in Polaroid’s Guide to Advanced Image Transferring, Eastman Kodak’s Loupe, The Manipulator, 80 Tal, Darkroom Photography, and Columbus Monthly; and they can be seen in City Cats and City Dogs, published by Harper Collins. She holds a B.F.A. in painting and art education from the Cleveland Institute of Art/Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and has studied photography at the School of Visual Arts and the International Center of Photography in New York City.
